[Nabulod ti ladawan a naaramat]
Saan a makaanay inted ti Dios kadatayo a sagut nga ayat,
sagut ti pisikal a pintas, sagut ti kinasaririt; gapu ta dagitoy
ket sumagmamano laeng a panuli wenno adigi no sadino a nagramut
iti pondasion ti personalidad--
ti biag ti pigsa daytoy a pondasion.
Mabangon iti rugi ti pannakayanak
pigsa nga agpaut ti tinawtawen,
pagtugpatugpaen mabuong suktan dagiti parte
a narebba, wenno pinagkapuynatay' ti panawen;
agsanggir iti pannakaawat, panagtalek,
panangted ken panagawat, agbibinnuray
kapanunotan iti biag, kabaelan a marikna, pannakagun-od ti kari
ken panangdayaw dagiti balikastayo.
Agsadag ti kired ti pondasion
iti pannakaawat ken madaerantayo ti sugat
ken apges, di pannakapagusto ken pannakapaay,
sasaaden ken amak--
dagitoy dagiti bagyo a mangperdi
wenno mangpakapsut ti panunot ken bagitayo.
Nagkaadu dagiti tao a mangballikug ti tedda a dadael ti kinataoda

It is not enough that God gives us gifts of love,
gifts of physical beauty, gifts of talents; for these
are only few of the pillars which are rooted in
the foundation of our personality–
the strength of this foundation is life.
The building starts at birth
its strength over the years,
our mending the cracks replacing the parts
that crumble, or are we weakened by time;
depend on our perception, our confidence,
our giving and receiving, our inter-acting
with life, our sensitivity, fulfilling our commitments
and honoring our word.
The strength of this foundation depends
on our understanding and overcoming hurts
and pains, disappointments and failures,
conditionings and fears–
these are the storms which can destroy
or weaken our mind and body.
So many human beings lie in the rubble of their personality…
